BREAK SO MANY HEARTS:

Why It Could Be Gone
  1. The real-life inspirations for the song phoned their favorite blond cute brother act and told them that they didn't appreciate their dirty laundry being aired to the world, especially in the form of a frothy, Hansonized pop song.
  2. Taylor couldn't stop himself from blushing and giggling every time he got to the "lust" part.
  3. Zac, in a jealous fit of rage over not being allowed more than one lead, stole the master and lit it on fire, "just to see what would happen."
  4. Zac, in a jealous fit of rage over not being allowed more than one lead, held the tape hostage under a large pile of dirty socks until they agreed to give him another song. They never did.
  5. Jonny Lang told Isaac he thought it was stupid.
  6. Taylor was nervous about singing another song with flower references in it. Not only would that have increased the chances of there actually being a flower in the video, it would have inevitably encouraged a second onslaught of "pansy" jokes.
  7. Zac just kept saying, "You can't burn stones, guys! I've tried..."
  8. It's a calculated attempt at inflicting emotional pain on their fans, who were so filthy, dishonest and downright naughty to have "stolen" the demo.
  9. They thought it just didn't sound good without the scratchy Christmas song playing in the background, so they shelved it. It will be featured on Snowed In II, More Songs for the Season.
  10. Zac thinks it's funny to mess with our heads and then watch us scramble.
  11. After a long and arduous argument over whose song was better, Isaac and Taylor decided to settle it with a coin toss. It was heads. Exit Bridges of Stone. Enter Hand in Hand.
  12. The Moffatts got a hold of the demo and said it was their favorite song.
  13. They couldn't figure out a tasteful way of putting scratching on it, so they gave up on the song all together.
  14. Dying to Be Alive and Save Me more than filled the quota for Whiny Taylor Ballads Sure to Make the Teenies Squeal.
Why This Bites
  1. Dude, we really wanted to see if Taylor was actually saying "bubble tree" in the second verse.
  2. It was pretty.
  3. Talk about risky song concept. Not only is there cheating involved, there's children and marriage too. It's like... Speechless on steroids.
  4. The line, "I was right here, laying in your bed" will never see the light of day.
  5. I don't know about you, but I'd have given my right arm and then some to hear Taylor sing about his supposed "lover" in a song. (Hi. Where do I send my resume?)
  6. We'll NEVER EVER hear it without the dang Christmas song playing in the background!
Bottom Line
RIP, Bridges of Stone
