Other Evidence
  • Hanson visits the small country of Indonesia and takes extensive footage for their video, Tulsa, Tokyo and the Middle of Nowhere. A year later, student-led pro-democracy insurrections throw the country into political turmoil. A coincidence? I think not.
  • Hanson returns to their home state of Oklahoma after the Albertane tour. Several months later, the biggest gosh darn tornado in history ravages the state.
  • Hanson publicly states their fondness for Star Wars: Episode One. It is unanimously trashed by critics.
  • Hanson lends several songs to the sountrack for the film Jack Frost. It is not only unanimously trashed by critics, it bombs at the box office too.
  • David Hasslehoff publicly endorses Hanson. His show leaves the lower 48 and goes to Hawaii.
  • Taylor says he likes the Spin Doctors. They break up less than a year later.
  • Hanson goes to Taiwan. (Taipai) Can you say earthquake? Big earthquake.
  • Hanson has a rather large, well publicised press conference at Planet Hollywood. It suddenly goes bankrupt.
  • What? You don't think there's some connection between the cancellation of Beavis and Butthead and Ike doing all of those impressions?
  • Gus Van Sant directs the Weird video. His next film, Psycho, is considered an artistic disappointment and a financial flop.
  • Christmas, 1997. Hanson goes to Washington DC and performs for President Clinton and his family. They meet the President, and we all know what kind of trouble that man has had ever since.
