The Boys Are Back in Town

When we heard Hanson was going on tour, we smiled at the thought of something to distant it sounded almost surreal. Then, after MOE and Hanson.net preferred seating confusion and the constant sound of millions of jaws dropping around the nation, due to the not-so-shocking fact that 2 weeks before Hanson was slated for their first show of the tour, half of the dates were not confirmed. Not to mention the lack of an actual official name. (I voted for ‘The Cocaine Load Tour 2000’) Days go by. We spend hours staring at Hanson.net, waiting for confirmations. And waiting. And waiting. First date. July 27th, in Tulsa. Great. Talk about August and Everything After.

Another thing that made fans’ faith in the band ever-so-falter was the lack of tour dates that included the midwest. (Minnesota, Wisconsin). So Ali, a teenager with no means of independent transportation, thought she had to go to Chicago to see Hanson in concert. Of course, just as Chicago is confirmed, I went to Hanson.net to double-check, and, ah, prefect, now they not only confirm Milwaukee, they add it. At least I get to be in the same state as Hanson and take my mom’s really huge camera.

Smaller venues. Less dates. Huge noise. I present to you… the This Time Around Tour.
